Dr Davood Rezaie Dastjerdi, BDS

Dr Rezaie Dastjerdi is a very experienced Dental Surgeon who graduated from the accredited Dental University in Aarhus, Denmark. He is fully qualified in all the latest aspects of modern dentistry and has an extensive track record of post graduate education. His special interests include Cosmetic Dentistry, in particular Crowns also using our In house Cerec Machine, Bridges, Cosmetic Braces, Veneers and special Dentures.

One of his last course he attended in Smile design, which deal with whole aspect of mouth reconstruction.

Another interesting treatment that Mr Rezaie can offer his patients with crowded teeth is cosmetic braces, which are discrete with extremely fast results!

Dr Shivani Patel

Shivani qualified from Manchester University in 2011. After qualifying, Shivani worked in hospitals,providing emergency treatment, carrying out maxillo-facial training and then went on to complete a further MFDS qualification. Since then, Shivani has worked in General Practice where her patient centered care along with her calm, caring and ethical approach to dentistry, helps to put her patients at ease.

Shivani joined the Bright dental team in 2021. She recently completed a Diploma in Operative Dentistry with a distinction at Kings College London as a postgraduate student. Shivani has been able to work wit hpatients to restore the confidence of people and their smiles with outcomes that can be life changing.

Along with improving the cosmetic aspect of her patients' teeth, Shivani likes to focus on preventative dentistry as well as minimally invasive treatments.

Dr Lucy Powrie

Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics BDS Hons (Cardiff), PgCert (Medical Education), PgCert (Health Research Methods)

Lucy graduated from Cardiff University in 2015. Following this she has worked in dental practice as well as in dental hospital roles in Newcastle, Essex, London & Edinburgh. She has completed two Post Graduate Certificates in Medical Education and in Health Research Methods.

Lucy is currently undertaking 4-year specialist training in Endodontics at King’s College University and has now limited her practice to endodontics.

Julie Warwick-Munday, E.D.H.

Hygienist

GDC: 2056

Julie qualified at Guys Dental Hospital in 1980. Winning the Professor Emisle Prize for Scaling.

Julie has been with the practice for over 30 years giving a consistent continuing care approach to oral health. Prevention rather than cure being the aim. With that in mind Julie also provides Topical Fluoride and Fissure Sealant Treatments for children.

Dianne Heath

Dianne has been the welcoming face of the surgery for over 27 years. Her calm capable manner offers reassurance to even the most nervous of patients many of whom have come to know Dianne personally over the years and greet her on first name terms. Her warm approach inspires patient confidence and ensures a consistently smooth and professional experience for all.

Akeel Mosea, Registered specialist in oral surgery. BDS. (Jordan). MFDRCS (Ireland) FFDRCSI (Oral Surgery and Medicine). Dip Imp Dent RCS(Eng). Jordanian Board OMFS.

Oral Surgeon

Akeel gained his BDS degree from the University of Jordan in 2002. He worked in different hospitals in the UK in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2004 he obtained the membership of the faculty of dentistry/Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFDRCSI) followed by the fellowship in oral surgery and medicine FFDRCSI (OSOM) from the same college in 2007.

In 2014, he obtained the board certificate in Oral and maxillofacial surgery from the medical council of Jordan. Akeel has a special interest in oral surgery and dental implants. He passed the exam of the diploma in implant dentistry (Dip Imp Dent) from the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2016.

Akeel has also interest in academic work. He is the author of surgical books, and has many publications in very reputable surgical journals.

He works as a specialty doctor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He runs there oral surgical lists both under local and general anaesthesia, he is also in charge of training trainee dentists at the same hospital.

Akeel is married and has four children. Outside his work, he enjoys gardening, and likes to spend time with family

Gretchen Wild

Dental Nurse

Gretchen joined the practice in early 2019 and nurses with all clinicians within the surgery.

She is very experienced in all areas of general and specialised dentistry. She is warm and friendly always striving to offer her best care. She has completed the advanced nursing qualification in Implant Dentistry at Kings College, London and has an excellent breadth of knowledge in this area. She has achieved additional qualifications in taking dental X-rays to assist with your care.
